3. Major Introduction

Civil engineering isa major with a wide range of obtaining employment and strong comprehensiveness. This major is to cultivate advanced engineering technology talents in aspects of civil engineering project planning, design, research and development, construction, management and so on. The major students mainly study professional theories and civil engineering skills such as engineering mechanics, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, housing construction engineering, municipal engineering, civil engineering construction and organization managementandetc., apart from being trained in foreign languages, computer science, engineering management and social sciences, etc., while receiving engineering drawings, engineering surveying, professional experiments, structural design and engineering practice and other aspects of the basic training, with a solid foundation of natural sciences to understand the main direction and application prospect of the contemporary science and technology ; master the basic theory of mechanics related to civil engineering, master engineering planning and selection, engineering materials, structural analysis and design, knowledge of foundation treatment and construction technology and management , and have the initial ability to search for information through various means, obtain information, and conduct engineering design, test, construction management and research.

The graduates can not only work in departments related to housing construction, urban construction, municipal engineering, subway engineering, road engineering, traffic engineering and etc.,but also engage in design, construction, supervision, teaching, scientific research, education, investment, development and management in departments like metallurgy, building materials, petroleum, water conservancy and energy and so on.

Road bridge and river-crossing engineeringis a major that sets up a very strong practicalness according to the demand in the construction of national transportation network. The major is capable of cultivating top-level applied talents engaged in the design, construction, maintenance and management of road engineering, bridge engineering and underground engineering and so on. Aiming at the rapid development of our country’s transportation infrastructure engineering construction and huge road network management and actual demand of underground rail traffic construction, the major of road bridge and river-crossing engineering is to cultivate constructors and senior management engineers of road, bridge and underground engineering basing on professional knowledge background of road, bridge and underground engineering and combining with computer and practice teaching and other basic skills training.

4. Employment Orientation

After graduation, students can engage in technical work in aspects of survey, planning, design, construction, supervision, consultation, management and so on of road, bridge and underground engineering. Students can be mainly employed in administrative departments and their large and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions like road, railway, municipal administration, transportation, construction and so on. At present, our country is in the period of rapid development of infrastructure construction, with good employment prospects.

Ⅲ. Urban Underground Space Engineering

1. Program duration: 4 Years

3. Major Introduction

Urban underground space engineering is a major of full-time undergraduate with a wide range of obtaining employment and strong comprehensiveness, which is established for urban underground space resources development and utilization. This major is to cultivate applied senior talents of scientific research and engineering construction who can engage in the design, construction, maintenance, management and so on of underground railways, road tunnels, underground parking and other transport facilities, all kinds of industrial and civil engineering including underground production workshops, power plants, shopping malls, civil air defense and municipal underground engineering as well as underground integrated building mass engineering of culture, entertainment and life.

4. Employment Orientation

This major is to cultivate constructors and senior management engineers in urban underground space engineering and relevant direction by taking professional knowledge like civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, tunnel engineering and so on as the background and combining with computer and practical teaching and other basic skills training. After graduation, students can engage in technical work including surveying, planning, design, construction, supervision, consultation, management (test, evaluation and maintenance) of urban underground space engineering, mainly in urban rail transit, municipal services, urban air defense, railways, highways, buildings, airports and other administrative departments and their large and medium-sized enterprises and institutions.

Major Introduction: Building environment and energy application engineering is a major with a wide range of obtaining employment and strong comprehensiveness, which takes building as the main object, creates comfortable, healthy, energy-saving and environmentally friendly building environment that is fit for human life and work and technology environment that meets the requirements of product manufacturing and scientific experiment as well as artificial environment of special application field (such as underground engineering environment, national defense engineering environment, internal space environment of carrier and so on) on the basis of fully utilizing natural resources.

Employment Orientation: Talents can engage in the technology and management work like design, construction installation, operation management and system guarantee and so on in aspects of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, purification, cold and heat source, supply of heat and so on in units such as design and research institute, engineering construction company, equipment manufacturing enterprise, operating company and so on as well as work in relevant fields like building water supply and drainage, automatic control of architectural equipment and so on.

3. Training Objective

This major is to cultivateapplied advanced engineering technology talents who can develop well in moral education, intellectual education, physical education and aesthetic education, master basic theories, professional knowledge and skills of building environment and energy application engineering subject, have abilities to perform the design, construction installation, equipment debugging, operation management and preliminary study development of building environment and energy application system, innovative and enterprising spirits and good comprehensive quality to adapt to the demand of social development, and engage in the engineering design and consultation, construction installation and operation management and so on in the fields of building environment and other artificial environment and energy application.

Engineering Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer Theory, Fluid Mechanics, Building Environment Theory, Building Environment Measurement, Fluid Transmission and Distribution Network, Heat and Mass Transfer Theory and Equipment, Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning, Architectural Equipment Automation, Heat-Supply Engineering, Building Cooling and Heat Sources, Fuel Gas Supply and Transmission and distribution.

3. Major Introduction:

roadly defined, architecture is a subject that studies architectural environment. Generally, it refers to a comprehensive subject of technology and art related to architectural design and construction. It includes some contents like architectural history and theory, historical buildings preservation, architectural design, urban design, old city renewal and reconstruction, residential district planning and design, architectural physics, architectural construction technology, interior design and decoration and so on. In addition, it also involves relevant technology fields like architectural structure, architectural equipment, facilities of architectural environment, disasters prevention and reduction for architecture, building energy conservation and so on. At the present stage, our country’s construction industry is in transformation stage and construction of urbanization is still a key project of national construction. At the same time, the architectural design concept gradually integrates with the world market. This major is to cultivate advanced professional talents with solid design basis, up-to-date design concept and innovative design capability. Therefore, it has broad employment market and good development prospect.

4. Training Objective

This major is to cultivateapplied advanced professional talents who can develop well in moral education, intellectual education, physical education and aesthetic education, master basic theories, professional knowledge and skills of architecture, have creative thinking, open field of vision, sense of social responsibility and team spirit, idea of sustainable development and cultural inheritance, and abilities to meet the need of national economic development and urban and rural construction, and perform the work in aspects of architectural design, teaching and research, development and management and so on in architectural fields like architectural design units, education and scientific research institution, management department.
