The opening ceremony of 2018 Liaoning Science and Technology Week, sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Publicity Department of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee, Liaoning Science and Technology Association, Liaoning Department of Education, and Shenfu District Administrative Committee, was held at Shenyang Institute of Technology.

The president of SUT, Zhang Tieyan, on behalf of the university signed a Cooperation Framework Agreement with Shenfu District Administrative Committee.
