On the morning of September 21, 2019, the Seventieth Anniversary Conference of SUT was held in the gymnasium of the central campus. More than 3500 guests including alumni, retired faculties and students gathered together to celebrate the 70th birthday of SUT. LIU zikang, Secretary of the Party committee of SUT, delivered a speech entitled “All the SUT people share the same dream with the same heart”. Outstanding alumni, partner universities representatives and government officials, teacher representative and student representative spoke at the meeting as well. In the conference, the attendees donated RMB 31 million to SUT to celebrate its 70th anniversary. The conference drew an end in the school song “Raise up the industrial brilliance of China”.
