At a recent press conference held the by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC), the statistical results for compiled data on Chinese scientific and technological papers was released. According to the results, Journal of Shenyang University of Technology was once again selected as the Core Journal of Science and Technology in China. ISTIC established in 1987 uses scientometric indicators combined with the peer review system to select papers published in various disciplines. The selection results constitute a database that is indexed into the “China Statistical Yearbook on Science and Technology compiled by the National Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. The Yearbook has been widely used by the Department of Science and Technology Management and academia.
