On July 16^th-17^th, the final of the 11^th National College Mechanical Innovation Competition of the “Huazhong CNC Cup” was held at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The SUT team won 2 national first prizes and 4 national second prizes, which is the best result the university has ever achieved, making SUT rank first among all the universities in Liaoning Province. The theme of this competition is “Mechanical Innovation Promotes Agricultural Modernization, Natural Harmony Moves towards a New Height of Bionics”. Based on this theme, the competition encompasses two major topics, namely: “Promoting Agricultural Machinery” and “High Performance Bionic Machinery”. The competition aims to lead college students across the country to focus on agricultural production and agricultural technology and to improve their practical abilities in mechanical innovation, designing, and making in view of the actual demand. The SUT team made sufficient preparatory works for the competition, such as strengthening the construction of the supervisor team, repeatedly optimizing the entries and so on. Eventually, with the joint effort of the teachers and students, the SUT team obtained satisfying results and made a historic breakthrough in the national-level competition.
