On July 12^th, the 8^th Purple Mountain Forum- Key Technologies for New Power System Equipment and System Safety and Stable Operation Control (Shenyang University of Technology Forum) was held in Shenyang. The Forum was jointly hosted by State Grid Electric Power Science Research Institute, Shenyang University of Technology and Northeast Electric Power University. XUE Yusheng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, GU Yi, chief engineer of State Grid Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd., and Professor LIN Shen from SUT delivered keynote speeches at the forum. At the same time, two sub forums, titled “Power System and Power Electronics” and “Electric Machinery and Electrical Appliances” respectively, were held, where 13 experts were invited to delivered their speeches.
