On January 10, 2020, the ceremony of the 2019 National Science and Technology Progress Award was held in the Great Hall of the People. At the ceremony, Professor Xing Zuoxia won the second prize for her project entitledKey Technology and Large-scale Application of Electric Heating and Heat Storage to Improve the Grid's Ability to Absorb Wind Power. The findings of Professor Xing’s project provide effective ways to enhance the scale of power grid to absorb and discard wind and promote large-scale clean heating in the northern region, which plays a pivotal role in technological progress in the field of wind power consumption and utilization.
