On the afternoon of April 22, the appointment ceremony of the director of the National Engineering Center was held in the conference room on the fifth floor of the Administrative Building. President Guo Lianjun and vice president Wang Shijie attended the meeting. On behalf of the University, Guo presented the Letter of Appointment to Professor Zhang Fengge. Guo pointed out in his speech that at present the University is in the crucial period of building our university into a double first-class university as well as making proper use of our personnel. Professor Zhang Fenge’s acceptance of the appointment as director of the National Engineering Center reflects his profound affection for the University and the Center. It is hoped that, meanwhile consolidating the existing achievements of the Center, Professor Zhang can make greater efforts to develop the Center into the most influential one in the engineering industry.
