Recently, Liaoning ProvincialDepartment of Education announced the assessment results ofthedisciplines under the “double first-class” construction project in 2020.Four disciplinesofSUT received good results, namely: Material Science and Engineering received“Excellent”rating; ElectricalEngineeringand MechanicalEngineeringreceived“Good”rating; and InstrumentScience andTechnologyreceived“Qualified”rating.
TheUniversity hasbeenattachinggreat importance to constructingfirst-class disciplines for a long time. The measures taken by theUniversityincludeconstantly strengtheningthe planning and governance of thesedisciplines, cultivatingfirst-class discipline teams, guaranteeingfirst-class discipline resources, and supportingtheirgrowth points. Thus, in the first year of the 14thfive year plan, the University hasachievedremarkable resultsin“first-class”disciplineconstruction.
