From December 1^st to 3^rd, the 5th International Conference on Smart Power and Internet Energy Systems, co-sponsored by Shenyang University of Technology and Northeastern University, was held in Shenyang. ZHANG Ke, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president, attended the conference and delivered a speech. Scholars from different higher education institutions were invited to make reports at the conference, including Professor Kaushik Rajashekara, foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and an academician of the American Academy of Engineering, Professor YANG Shi, academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, distinguished professor of Chang Jiang Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education, Professor GENG Hua of Tsinghua University, deputy chief member of the Power Transmission and Transformation Equipment Professional Committee of the Chinese Electrotechnical Society, Professor LIN Shen of Shenyang University of Technology, winner of National Outstanding Youth Foundation and deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Integrated Automation for Process Industry, and Professor DING Jinliang of Northeast University. Meanwhile, teachers from the School of Electrical Engineering, the School of Artificial Intelligence, and the School of Information Science and Engineering of SUT, along with 20 scholars from Tianjin University, Northeastern University, Beijing University of Science and Technology, and Northumbria University in the UK, delivered their speeches at the conference as well.
