On the shortlist of the 2nd Batch of Engineering Research and Practice Projects published by the Ministry of Education, 5 projects of SUT were listed successfully. They are projects focusing on such fiends as industrial mother machines, smart energy, artificial intelligence, new materials, advanced testing and experimentation and so on, showcasing SUT’s significant achievements in cultivating engineering talents.
Teaching engineering with cases is crucial for reforming the engineer talent training mode. In this regard, SUT will develop a batch of high-quality engineering cases and strengthen engineering teaching with these cases. The university will also focus on serving the national strategies and local needs, deepen the reform of the training of postgraduate students in engineering, and compile the textbook of “Case Studies in Engineering” so as to cultivate more engineering talents.
