The national finals of the 27th China University Women Basketball League were held in Shandong from May 20th to 26th. SUT’s women’s basketball team reached to the national semifinals with a seven-game winning record, ultimately finishing the fourth which is the best record the team ever achieved.
During the games, SUT team defeated their opponents, including Zhengzhou Sias College and Shandong Agricultural University, demonstrating the tenacious sportsmanship of the SUT players. Gao Wenqi, Captain of SUT team, who was not fully recovered from her prior injuries still played the games. The SUT players’ perseverance and diligence embodied the spirit of SUT.
In recent years, SUT has adhered to the principle of well-rounded development and regarded sports as an important carrier for cultivating students’ willpower and quality. The excellent performance of the women’s basketball team demonstrates SUT’s significant achievements in physical education.
