SUT’s Research Achievement on Magnetic Method for Internal Stress Damage Detection and Quantitative technology for Extracting Magnetic Stress Signals from Composite Defects in Oil and Gas Pipelines Reaches the International Leading Level

The project titled “Magnetic Method for Internal Stress Damage Detection and Quantitative technology for Extracting Magnetic Stress Signals from Composite Defects in Oil and Gas Pipelines” has been jointly completed by Shenyang University of Technology, Xinjiang Pipeline Network Group and Xuzhou Pipeline Network Group. An appraising meeting on the results of the project was held by Liaoning Mechanical Engineering Society on September 13th. The results of the project passed the assessment and were recognized by the assessment apanel led by Chai Tianyou, Academician and Member of the CAE, as reaching the international leading level in the field of magnetic stress detection of micro damage in oil and gas pipelines. At the meeting, the panel conducted an on-site inspection and listened to the report on the project delivered by Professor Liu Bin from the School of Information Science and Engineering.
