Recently, 10 scientific and technological achievements of SUT won the 2023 Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Awards, which makes SUT rank first among all the provincial universities in Liaoning.

Among them, two won the first prize, which are the project of key technology research and application of industrial production equipment for complex prefabricated components and the project of key technology and application of magnetic stress internal detection for pipeline micro damage. These projects have created new economic growth points for China’s engineering equipment manufacturing industry and made important contributions to the national energy security strategy and economic and social development.

In recent years, SUT has strengthened its layout of scientific and technological innovation, promoted the output of high-level achievements, and provided support for its “Double First Class” construction. The university will deepen the construction of its scientific research capabilities and assist in the revitalization of Liaoning.
