Carbon Neutrality Science and Engineering
Carbon Neutrality Science and Engineering is an emerging interdisciplinary field integrating natural sciences, engineering, and social sciences that leverages core principles from engineering, physical sciences, and management to investigate carbon neutrality fundamentals, advanced materials, frontier technologies, high-performance systems engineering, carbon emission monitoring, and carbon cycling management. Addressing energy restructuring and industrial transformation through integrated research in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering, civil engineering, and management science, this discipline supports China's development goals and Liaoning's green energy transition to revitalize Northeast China. We cultivate high-caliber innovators who comprehend global carbon neutrality trends, demonstrate capacity for original scientific and technical contributions, and possess advanced academic literacy with robust research capabilities to meet talent demands in industry, academia, and research institutions for "dual carbon" education, R&D, innovation, and management.
Research directions:
(I) Low-carbon energy and energy storage technology;
(II) Carbon reduction and pollution reduction key technologies and carbon emission evaluation;
(III) Negative carbon technology and carbon emission management;
(IV) Low-carbon construction and intelligent manufacturing technology.
