Doctoral Programs

(1) Research Areas

Six research areas are included in the doctoral programs. They are namely: Solidification Theory and Near Net Shaping Technology, High-Performance Magnesium Alloy and Application, Welding and Surface Strengthening Technology, Microstructure and Performance Control of Heat-Resistant Alloy, Properties and Characterization of Metastable Materials, and Advanced Functional Materials.

(2) Course Info

The doctorial programs offer ten core courses. They are namely: Non-Equilibrium Solidification Theories, Theoretical Basis of Crystal Growth, Mechanical Basis of Elastic-Plastic Deformation, Thermodynamics of Phase Transformation and Dynamics, Welding Arc Physics, Novel Functional Materials, Material Failure Theory and Process Analysis, Material Science and Engineering, Special Research Subjects and New Technology Progress in the Material Science and Engineering Field, and Preparation Principle and Technology of Ceramic materials.
